Grilled Red Onions

4 servings

Ingredients 4 red onions 4 tsp. olive oil salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions Prepare a grill. Peel onions and cut lengthwise into quarters, taking care to cut through the root to keep the quarters intact. In a small bowl, toss the onion quarters with oil to coat. Grill, cut-side down, until well browned, about 5 minutes. Turn over and grill until browned and softened, about 5 minutes more. Transfer to a serving plate and season with salt and pepper.
